Parsippany NJ police recently arrested an East Orange man and a Pennsylvania man who were allegedly selling drugs at a local motel.
According to law enforcement, the suspects, a 44-year-old male and a 46-year-old male, were distributing the illegal drugs at a Red Roof Inn in Parsippany, New Jersey.
Police learned about the possible drug activity and obtained a search warrant. Law enforcement, including Parsippany police and the Morris County Sheriff’s K-9 Unit, later executed the search warrant and conducted a raid at the Red Roof Inn motel located on Route 46 in Parsippany, NJ. The raid occurred around 11:30 a.m.
Searches of the suspects’ motel rooms reportedly turned up a loaded Taurus .44 magnum revolver, hollow-point bullets, 17 baggies of marijuana, another 16 grams of marijuana, 47 glassine folds of heroin, 16 grams of cocaine, 44 MDMA pills, and 8 more grams of MDMA. Law enforcement also reportedly discovered materials commonly used to weigh and package illegal drugs.
The suspects were subsequently placed under arrest. They have been charged with a number of drug offenses, including possession with intent to distribute heroin, possession with intent to distribute cocaine, possession with intent to distribute MDMA, and possession with intent to distribute marijuana. The suspects have also been charged with several weapons offenses, including unlawful possession of a weapon and certain persons offenses for being felons illegally in possession of a weapon.
After being placed under arrest and processed, the suspects were transported to the Morris County Jail in Morristown, NJ. They were each being held at the jail on separate $50,000 bail amounts.
