The body of a dead woman was discovered behind a home in East Hanover NJ.
Authorities believe that East Hanover resident Kim DeOliveira suffered fire-related injuries before dying in a backyard structure of her Phyldan Road home.
Autopsy results to learn the exact cause of Ms. DeOliveira’s death are pending.
The agencies investigating the fire include the East Hanover Police Department, the Major Crimes Unit of the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office, the Morris County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Section, and the Morris County Medical Examiner’s Office.
A joint statement issued by the acting Morris County prosecutor and the East Hanover Police Department declined to say whether arson or murder are suspected in Ms. DeOliveira’s death.
