Parsippany NJ law enforcement recently busted two women accused of prostitution at local motels.
According to Parsippany authorities, the two female suspects were engaged in prostitution at different hotels in Parsippany, New Jersey.
The Parsippany Police Department’s Special Enforcement Unit recently opened an investigation into prostitution after getting a number of complaints of illegal sexual activity at local hotels and motels.
While conducting the investigation, Parsippany undercover cops reportedly observed one of the suspects, a 38-year-old woman, engaged in prostitution at the Travelodge located at 625 Route 46 in Parsippany, NJ. The suspect allegedly solicited one of the undercover police officers.
The other suspect, a 23-year-old woman from the Bronx, New York, was allegedly caught soliciting an undercover cop at Embassy Suites, which is located at 909 Parsippany Boulevard in Parsippany NJ.
After being arrested, both suspects were taken to Parsippany police headquarters for processing. Once the 23-year-old suspect had been processed, she was released from police custody with a summons to appear in Parsippany Municipal Court at a later date.
The other suspect, the 38-year-old woman accused of prostitution at the Parsippany Travelodge, was not released from police custody because law enforcement reportedly learned that she had an active arrest warrant out of Hawthorne, NJ. As a result, she was turned over to the custody of the Hawthorne Police Department. It is unclear whether her previous arrest warrant was related to prostitution or some other sex crime.
