Here is a review from one of our many satisfied DWI clients: “Saved me from a DUI. HIGHLY recommended”
Posted by Dave
“I highly recommend Travis and his law firm. A year ago I got into an accident, blood drawn, DUI. I knew I was facing life changing charges. Travis was able to get me off with no charges! When the judge reached a verdict, he mentioned the “good work of my attorney” that prevented them from proceeding with my prosecution. It is safe to say Travis saved my life and if your in a tough spot I highly recommend Travis to be your attorney.”

A DWI is a traffic offense in New Jersey, it is not a criminal offense. If you are convicted of a DWI, the charge goes on your driver’s history abstract just like a speeding ticket or any other traffic violation. The legal limit in New Jersey is .08% Blood Alcohol Content (BAC). If you are caught driving with a BAC over that limit, and that reading is found to be reliable and admissible in court, then you would be convicted of a DWI offense. On a first offense, if your BAC was between .08% and .10%, you would lose your driver’s license for three (3) months. If your reading is over .10% BAC, then you would lose your driving privileges for seven (7) months to one (1) year.
NOTE: Unfortunately, New Jersey does not offer work or provisional licenses. This means that, if you lose your driving privileges in NJ, you lose them for whatever the period of your suspension is. The Judge can give you a temporary driver’s license to drive home from the courthouse but that’s it. This makes it even more imperative that you hire an experienced Morristown DWI defense lawyer to fight your charges and attempt to avoid the license suspension altogether.
On a second offense DWI, the license suspension is two (2) years and you are facing up to ninety (90) days in the Morris County jail. Finally, on a third or subsequent DWI offense, you are facing a ten (10) year license suspension and mandatory 180 days in the Morris County Jail (90 days of that sentence can be served in a state approved in patient rehab facility).
