Montville NJ police arrested a Queens NY woman who was allegedly engaged in prostitution.
According to authorities, patrol officers noticed what they considered to be unusual activity at Knights Inn of Pine Brook, a local motel on Route 46. A patrol unit routinely checks Route 46, so it was not out of the ordinary for the officers to observe activity at the motel.
Police said that they saw several men going into and out of the same room at the motel. The 45-year-old suspect was reportedly staying in the room.
When officers investigated the situation and interviewed the suspect, they determined that the suspect was violating the law.
Police placed the suspect under arrest and charged her with prostitution.
None of the woman’s alleged clients were placed under arrest or charged with solicitation.
Sometime after being arrested, the suspect was released on her own recognizance.
