A Montvale New Jersey cop pleaded guilty to drunk driving charges in Pequannock, NJ.
The suspect is a North Jersey man who works for the Montvale Police Department. In June 2016, he was found sleeping behind the wheel of his black BMW. The vehicle was parked on the side of Route 23 south in Pequannock, New Jersey.
Pequannock NJ police administered a breath test to the suspect and he allegedly failed the test, registered a blood alcohol content (BAC) of .18 percent. The legal limit in New Jersey is .08 percent BAC.
The suspect was placed under arrest and charged with a first offense DWI.
Now the suspect has resolved his case by pleading guilty to the DWI charges. As a result of the guilty plea, his driver’s license will be suspended.
At this time, it is unclear whether the suspect’s job as a police officer will be affected by his drunk driving conviction.
