Two people were recently indicted on promoting prostitution charges after they allegedly served as pimps for two teen girls in Parsippany and Rockaway Township, NJ.
A man and a woman allegedly pimped out a 15-year-old girl and a 17-year-old girl throughout Morris County over a one-week period in June 2015. The female suspect is accused of arranging for the teenage victims to meet up with men at hotels and engage in sexual acts for money. The male suspect is the person who would reportedly collect the cash.
The male suspect is a 39-year-old resident of Morris Plains NJ and the female suspect is a 43-year-old resident of Boonton NJ. They were arrested and charged with numerous criminal charges, including human trafficking, promoting prostitution, endangering the welfare of a child, conspiracy to commit human trafficking, and conspiracy to promote prostitution. Additionally, the male suspect was charged with sexual assault and distribution of heroin because he allegedly had sex with the teenage victims and provided them with heroin.
Now the suspects could be headed to trial in Morris County Superior Court after a Morris County grand jury indicted them on all of the sex crime charges.
