Parsippany NJ police arrested two men who were allegedly involved in a fight at a local hotel.
The Parsippany Police Department received a call about an altercation at the Parsippany Inn around 1:20 a.m. The hotel is located on Route 10 in Parsippany, New Jersey.
When two patrol officers arrived at the inn, they reportedly found one of the suspects inside the building. The 37-year-old suspect, who is from Parsippany, was suffering from a stab wound to his abdominal area.
Police later found the other suspect, a 47-year-old from Morris Plains NJ, outside the building. According to officials, the suspect had sustained facial injuries.
It is believed by authorities that the 47-year-old suspect brandished a kitchen knife during the fight and stabbed the 37-year-old suspect. Authorities also believe that the 37-year-old suspect used his hands to injure the other man’s face.
Both suspects were placed under arrest and taken to Morristown Medical Center so that they could receive medical treatment for their injuries.
The suspect who allegedly used the knife has been charged with aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a weapon, and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose. After being arrested and processed, his bail was set at $50,000 and he was taken to the Morris County Jail in Morristown, NJ.
Meanwhile, the other suspect has been charged with aggravated assault. His bail was set at $35,000 and he was also taken to the Morris County Jail.
