A Bloomfield NJ public school teacher was recently accused of distributing child pornography.
According to Morris County prosecutors, the 29-year-old suspect was caught downloading porn on computers at both his home and his workplace.
Additionally, the suspect, who lives in Randolph NJ, allegedly uploaded child pornography to the Internet.
Authorities were first tipped off to the possible sexual offenses after receiving information from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
Once they had information about the suspect’s possible illegal activity, the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force began an investigation. The investigation eventually led to the arrest of the suspect.
The suspect has been charged with possession of child pornography, distribution of child pornography, and endangering the welfare of a child.
After being arrested and processed, the suspect was taken to the Morris County Correctional Facility in Morristown, NJ. He was being held at the jail in lieu of $75,000 bail. The bail amount was later reduced to $50,000.
If the suspect is able to secure his release from police custody, he will be prohibited from having any contact with children under the age of 16 while the charges against him are pending.
