PTI is a program for first-time offenders who have never been in trouble with the law before. The program requires the defendant to be placed on probation, complete community service, and remain arrest-free for a period of one year.

As a result of Mr. Tormey’s skillful defense, the defendant in this case has the opportunity to complete the PTI program. Upon successful completion of the PTI program, the charges against her will be dismissed and she will have no criminal record.
