A major police sweep of massage parlors in Morris County, NJ resulted in nine arrests.
Several different law enforcement agencies conducted undercover operations at massage parlors in Roxbury and Jefferson, NJ. The agencies involved in the investigation included the Roxbury Township Police Department, the Jefferson Township Police Department, the Hopatcong Police Department, and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
According to authorities, law enforcement made nine arrests and seized roughly $8,500 in cash during the sweep.
The people arrested hail from Randolph, NJ, Palisades Park, NJ, and Queens, NY.
All of the individuals who were arrested face prostitution-related charges, including engaging in prostitution and promoting prostitution.
Seven of the people who were arrested have already been released on their own recognizance. They will be required to return to municipal court for a court date. However, two of the suspects were allegedly in the country illegally, so they are being held in custody while awaiting deportation.
