Police in Pequannock New Jersey are searching for a man who allegedly committed a theft at a local restaurant.
The theft occurred in August at a business located in Pequannock, NJ. According to authorities, the suspect was employed as a food delivery guy at the Pequannock restaurant. He allegedly went on a food delivery run, collected a large amount of cash from several customers, and then never went back to the restaurant.
It is believed that the suspect may have stolen the cash from the customers and then left the area with no intention of ever handing the cash over to his employer or delivering the paid-for food to the victims.
For the past month, Pequannock law enforcement has been investigating the theft incident. However, police have not yet caught a break in the investigation and have been unable to determine the identity of the suspect. The suspect had only recently been hired by the Pequannock business, so his employers did not yet have much information about him.
Pequannock detectives have asked for the public’s assistance with the investigation. Anyone who has information about the suspect, the suspect’s getaway vehicle, or the theft incident should contact investigators at 973-835-1700.
