Two men who allegedly used an adult video store in Parsippany NJ as a front for illegally selling prescription drugs and synthetic drugs have been arrested.
The suspects, a Parsippany NJ man and a Livingston NJ man, allegedly conspired to sell drugs to customers. The Parsippany suspect reportedly owns the adult video store on Route 46 in Parsippany, while the Livingston suspect is said to be an employee at the store.
Parsippany NJ police opened an investigation into the suspects after receiving numerous tips that synthetic drugs were being sold at the adult video store. During a subsequent drug bust at the store, Parsippany detectives allegedly found more than 100 packages filled with synthetic drugs. The narcotics reportedly included imitation Xanax, as well as nail polish removers being sold as inhalants.
The two suspects face numerous criminal charges, including conspiracy to distribute imitation drugs, conspiracy to distribute prescription legend drugs, and conspiracy to distribute toxic chemicals.
After being placed under arrest and charged, both suspects were taken to the Morris County Correctional Facility in Morristown, New Jersey. The Livingston NJ suspect later secured his release from the jail by posting a $150K bail amount, but the Parsippany suspect remained in the jail on a $125K bail amount.
