Mount Olive NJ police arrested a local woman who allegedly stole packages from the lobby of an apartment complex.
According to law enforcement, the suspect stole various items from the common area of the Overlook at Flanders apartments. A resident at the building contacted the Mount Olive Police Department after allegedly seeing her name on a package in the recycling bin by the curb.
Mount Olive NJ detectives investigated the possible package theft and spoke with the suspect’s neighbors.
When cops talked to the suspect inside her apartment, they reportedly noticed a number of items that had been taken from the building’s common area.
The suspect allegedly confessed to having stolen the packages. She was subsequently arrested by Mount Olive police.
The suspect is a 45-year-old woman who resides in Mount Olive. She has been charged with multiple criminal offenses, including theft of movable property and receiving stolen property.
After being placed under arrest and charged, the suspect was released on her own recognizance with a pending court date.
