A former resident of Budd Lake NJ has been accused of committing several sex crimes in Tennessee.
According to authorities, the 39-year-old suspect used an Internet advertisement to lure teenage girls. The online ad reportedly indicated that the suspect was looking for models to photograph.
After an investigation, Tennessee police arrested the suspect and charged him with a number of sex crimes, including rape and sexual battery. The suspect was also charged with 19 counts of aggravated sexual exploitation and one count of sexual exploitation of a minor over 100 times.
The suspect was scheduled to appear in court in Murfreesboro, TN in August 2014. However, the suspect reportedly failed to show up for his mandatory court appearance.
Tennessee authorities issued an alert for the suspect, but they were unable to find him. It is believed that the suspect cut off his electronic monitoring bracelet in order to evade police and avoid capture.
The suspect allegedly fled his home and went to either Wyoming or Montana. However, police are not ruling out the possibility that he may have gone to Florida, where he has relatives and business associates, or his former home in Budd Lake, New Jersey.
Morris County Crime Stoppers recently issued an alert about the suspect. New Jersey authorities are asking anyone who has information about the suspect or his whereabouts to please submit an anonymous tip by calling 973-COP-CALL. Police have said that tips which lead to the suspect’s arrest could receive a reward of up to $1,000.
