Parsippany NJ police are trying to find a man who allegedly committed an assault in a driveway along Route 10.
The incident occurred around 6:25 p.m. The Parsippany Police Department dispatched officers to Route 10 after receiving a report of an attack in a driveway.
When Parsippany police officers arrived at the residence, they found a man suffering from physical injuries. The 29-year-old victim told officers that he had been attacked and punched in the face and abdomen as he walked from his home.
The victim was transported to Morristown Medical Center, where doctors treated him for his injuries.
The Parsippany Police Department is actively investigating the assault. At this time, investigators have not yet identified a suspect in the case.
If police do eventually identify and apprehend a suspect, it is likely that the culprit would face criminal charges for aggravated assault or simple assault. As set forth by N.J.S.A. 2C:12-1(b), anyone who commits an assault that results in serious bodily injury can be charged with a felony-level offense and face prison time.
