A Madison New Jersey man has been charged with sexual assault for allegedly setting up a meeting with a teenager for the purpose of having sex in Pennsylvania.
The suspect, who is 31 years old, operates a business called “Energetic DJs.” The business sends DJs to perform at high school graduations and sweet 16 birthday parties.
The suspect allegedly posted a personal ad online with the intention of seeking out a minor for casual sex. When Pennsylvania police saw the ad, they contacted the suspect. An undercover state trooper pretended to be a 14-year-old girl and communicated with the suspect.
The suspect reportedly made “graphic” and “sexually explicit” comments during the online talk.
At some point during the conversation, the suspect reportedly set up a meeting at a park in Paradise Township, PA.
When the suspect showed up to the park, Pennsylvania State troopers were at the scene. The suspect was arrested without incident.
The Madison NJ man has been charged with a number of sex crimes under the Pennsylvania Criminal Code, including attempted sexual assault, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, aggravated indecent assault, corruption of minors, and unlawful contact with a minor.
The suspect has also been charged with possession of marijuana because police allegedly found him with a small amount of pot on his person.
After being arrested and processed, the suspect posted $100,000 bail and secured his release from police custody.
