East Hanover NJ police arrested a man accused of sexually assaulting a teen girl at a local business.
The sex crime allegedly occurred on Christmas Eve. According to law enforcement, the 32-year-old suspect sexually assaulted the 15-year-old victim at Giuletta & Romeo Pizzeria and Ristorante, a pizzeria located at 49 Eagle Rock Avenue in East Hanover, New Jersey.
Morris County prosecutors said that the suspect “engaged in acts of sexual contact and penetration” with the young victim. Moreover, the sexual acts were allegedly committed against the victim’s will, so this is not a case of statutory rape.
The suspect, who lives in East Hanover, NJ, was recently placed under arrest and charged with multiple sex offenses, including sexual assault, criminal sexual contact, and child endangerment.
After being arrested and processed, the suspect was taken to the Morris County Correctional Facility in Morristown, New Jersey. He was being held at the jail in lieu of a $60K bail amount. Additionally, the suspect will be barred from contact with any minors if he does secure his release from police custody.
