Denville NJ police arrested a man after officers allegedly found hallucinogenic mushrooms in his home.
Police received a report of a man having mental difficulties at his house. When officers arrived at the scene, they encountered the 25-year-old suspect with what appeared to be an altered state of mind.
According to authorities, the officers also found the suspect with a very large quantity of illegal mushrooms. The mushrooms were later identified as Psilocybin Mushrooms.
Police believe that the suspect was illegally growing and manufacturing the mushrooms out of his home.
Police allegedly seized the suspect’s manufacturing equipment, including homemade containers that were reportedly used to store the drugs.
After placing the suspect under arrest, police charged him with possession of a controlled dangerous substance (CDS), possession with intent to distribute a CDS, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
